If you want diversity in your gastronomic adventures, then LA is definately for you! From mexican treats to US standards, your tummy will definately get a treat!!! Most tourists tend to stick to the standard fast food options, but if you do this in LA, then your making a huge mistake. The food here is sensational, from celebrity owned restaurants to pizza bars that can feed you after a night of dancing and drinking... its a must do, so pack away the McDonalds vouchers and get out and TASTE LA!
If your after the ultimate mexican style expereience, then why not try Boder Grill at Santa Monica? Boder Grill is a world famous venue, run by two celebrity chefs, Mary Sue and Susan (from Food Network). Celebrity chefs aside, the place is just awesome - the food, the atmosphere, and of course their home made desert bar - get ready for a night of marguaritas, and lossening your belt as this would have to be one of the premeire food must do's for the whole of Los Angeles. If your out on the Sunset Strip, just up from Johnny Depp's Viper Room is Johnnies Pizza Bar... grab yourself a slice and see the wall covered in celebrity signatures - its open late and very cheap! Well worth a visit! Los Angeles also contains a wide vairiety of eateries and cafes, some of the best reside in West Hollywood (the "gay area") so venue hope to taste test your way around town! Funky food places also exist down at Venice Beach - on the south side of the boardwalk, you can find a nice couple of cafe's that do killer mixed salads with a nice beer in the summer sun, you just cant beat it - food, beer and perviing on the gorgeous passers by - now thats my idea of gastronomic delight!
