Many people think that Southern Nevada is only comprised of the casinos. Some visitors stay in casinos during their entire visit. That is great if you want that kind of thing, but The Vegas and Nevada have so much more to offer, so roll your dice, and also get out and see some stuff!

We have put in some of the most popular attractions, but make sure you check out camp little ditties like the Liberace Museum on Tropicana and Spencer Avenues…

Las Vegas
The Strip - 3˝-mi stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard South between Russell Road and Sahara Ave - runs south-north through the city. Most of Las Vegas restaurants, shows, hotels and casinos are on or just off the strip.

Welcome to fabulous Las Vegas sign
A familiar part of the landscape since the early 1950s and Las Vegas's label, the sign is at the southern end of Las Vegas Boulevard. Be advised - it's difficult to shot photos in front of the sign without jaywalking, although a median break in front of it makes it possible to stop your car there briefly for a very quick photo.

Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay
The 105,000 square foot attraction contains some 2 million gallons of seawater housing hundreds of exotic creatures from golden crocodiles, to tropical fish, to sharks. At the end of the tour from the bowels of a sunken galleon watch sharks swim below, above, and around the skeleton ship.

Manhattan Express roller-coaster of front of New York - New York
While being whisked past great views of the faux New York skyline, you climb 15 stories, dive 75 feet, do a 360-degree somersault, twirl through a "heartline twist" (that simulates the sensation one gets in a jet doing a barrel roll), and zip along a 540-degree spiral before you pull back into the station. All that for just $10 daily 10am - 11pm.

Casino Legends Hall of Fame
is a must-see attraction at the Tropicana. The world's largest collection of Nevada casino memorabilia consists of thousands of items, including Las Vegas chips, photographs, movie posters, slot machines, entertainer contracts and paychecks and more. Stories about iconic people and events that shaped this town's legend.

Fountains of Bellagio
In the middle of 900 feet long lake in front of Bellagio this $30-million fountain performs a unique show every 30 to 15 min in the afternoons. More than 1,000 fountain nozzles, 4,500 lights, and 27 million gallons of water combine to dazzle audiences with dancing waters choreographed to music. Some jets launch spray up to 250 feet in the air.

Eiffel Tower
in front of the Paris hotel is a half-size replica of Eiffel tower with the restaurant on the 11th floor. Three legs of the tower come right through the casino roof. A glass elevator lifts to the small observation deck at the 460-foot level. While you can catch a better view of the Las Vegas Valley from the Stratosphere tower, the Eiffel Tower offers an incomparable view of mid-Strip.

White Tiger Habitat - Mirage Hotel
The open-air home of Siegfried & Roy's Royal White Tigers is available for public viewing around the clock. Siegfried & Roy have dedicated their lives to preserving these rare animals, and their efforts have helped save them from total extinction.

Adventure Dome - Circus Circus Hotel
America's largest indoor theme park!

Volcano - Mirage Hotel
The waterfall in front of the Mirage is not all that it seems. Nightly after dark and running every 15 minutes until midnight, the waters stop flowing.

Lion Habitat - MGM Grand Hotel
To honor the lion and help safeguard its preservation for future generations, MGM Grand Hotel and Casino has created a one-of-a-kind Lion Habitat as a showcase for public education and appreciation for this majestic creature of nature.
