Mardi Gras Launch kicks off with Special International Guests and moves event to accomodate them.
Guidetogay.com is pleased to announce that our inside sources have confirmed that global superstars, Matt Lucas and David Walliams, better known as the power duo behind the incredibly popular comedy series "Little Britain" will be the official guest stars of the 2007 Mardi Gras Launch. After community backlash last year about the structure of the launch event, Mardi Gras has been hedging its bets about the launch event, adopting a unique "SMS" campaign for people to find out about the launch. This in itself has caused confusion amongst community members, mainly due to the fact that there is a ticketed VIP event and a free "SMS" event.
Our insider says "Matt and David WILL indeed be attending the Mardi Gras launch event - it has just been finalised with the Mardi Gras and they have in fact moved the launch event to accomodate the boys and the crowds they will draw." Little Britain had a massive presence throughout the 2006 Parade, and the boys were rumoured to even appear at this years Mardi Gras Party, when their Live stage show tour was first announced mid 2006, but due to scheduling conflicts with their Australian Tour dates this was not possible (The boys are appearing in Perth on the night of Mardi Gras). For those intent on knowing everything, we can also confirm that Matt and his partner (as well as members of the Guidetogay.com team) will be appearing in an upcoming episode of the hit ABC show, Kath and Kim! But thats not all. Recently celebrating their marriage, Matt and his partner have actually been honeymooning in Australia for the past week and a half, having slipped under the radar of the papparrazi very successfully.
