Sydney is not only restricted to the obvious tourist attractions, like many cosmopolitain cities around the globe ,there are alot of treats for all types of people in the nooks and crannies of this fair city.

Sydney consists of the CBD (Central Business district) - this is the part where all the skyscrapers are off the harbour foreshore... plus the suburban spread. Art Gallery Of New South Wales
Art Gallery Road
The Domain
Australia's largest Gallery is located just off the Domain (see the review in the parks and beaches section), and houses some of the world's greatest treasures, including some great Australian artworks. Its well worth a gander!

Australian Museum
6 College Street
Sydney
Just three tiny blocks north from Oxford Street is The Australian Museum is Australia's first museum. Check out the Aboriginal areas, great for an insight into the first inhabitants of this great continent.

Taronga Park Zoo
Nrth Side of Harbour
Accesable by Ferry from Circular Quay, Bus From Wynyard and Car.
Taronga Park Zoo is one of the most beautiful properties in the world. Imagine seeing Girraffess and Koala Bears, along with monkeys, chimps and many of Australia's kreepy krawlies with the most amasing scenic views of the city. It truely is hard to explain, but a must do and see activity... and if your a local - go check it out! Its one of those places you dont really consider if you live here, but it really gives you a reaffirmation of why this IS the best city in the world!

Parks and Beaches

Sydney is definately an outdoor city... the weather allows for use of our beautiful parks, spaces, beaches and pools. Whatever you do outside, remember to wear your sunblock, as the Sydney sun can be harsh and may damage your skin. You can take walks around Sydney, which is a perfect outdoor activity. There are many planned walks, such as the Sydney Sculpture walk, or the Harbour Walk... many of these routes are available on maps which you can get from any tourist kiosk.

Cook and Phillip Park
A green space in the middle of the city, two blocks from Oxford Street, this place has parkland, and indoor swimming pool, wave pool and is a very popular place with Lesbians and Gays... drop on down to the rec centre, which has a gym, squash and basketball courts. This place is VERY pervie, and great to have a relax, a workout, or just to get your dose of eye candy.

The Domain
Parkland for as far as the eye can see, the domain is Sydney's fun place with grass! It hosts many outdoors concerts, festivals and events, as well as being the perfect place for that lunchtime jog, cruise or game of soccer with the mates. The Domain also runs along side the NSW Art Gallery, and is the start of Lady Macquaries Chair (for those postcard views of the Opera house and Harbour) as well as the Andrew "Boy" Charlton Pool... which is a must to visit for any Gay person.

Belmore Park
Located at the base of Central train station, and adjacent to China Town, this park is used mainly as a pedestrian thouroughfare, but is great for an early morning stroll to see the Tai-Chi enthusiasts perfect their craft. Belmore park was also a "LIVE" site for entertainment during the Sydney Olympics in 2000.

Royal Botanical Gardens
Head into this great green space for a picnic, or a stroll... wander hand in hand with your friends and loved ones whilst checking out the native flora and fauna, or plonk yourself on the well kept lawns for a mid-day sun snooze or cuddle.

Lady Jane Beach
Located at Watsons Bay, Lady Bay, otherwise known as Lady Jane, is Sydney's premiere nudist beach... get your bits exposed in this secluded and picturesque spot. To find Lady Jane, just head to Watsons Bay via Bus or Ferry, then follow the signs along the walking trail for about ten minutes.

Bondi Beach
Not just a beach, but a suburb... you have to experience this place wether your are visiting or a local! Try a deep fried Mars Bar from the Fish n Chip shop on the promenade, or head over to the North end of the beach to have a sun bake with some of sydney's hottest girls and boys. Any 380 bus will take you there.

Tamaramma Beach
Just south of Bondi, is Tamaramma Bay, also known as "Glamourama" because of the beautiful bodies that go there. It's great for sun baking and swimming, though we do recommend that you be careful swimming here as the rip tide is very strong and you wouldnt want to keep the lifesavers away from the beach and ruin every elses view whilst you were drowning! It also has a grassed area, change facilities and a funky little "tuck-shop"

Obelisk Beach
Located on the North side of the Harbour, Obelisk is another popular Gay and Lesbian nudie beach. Hire a boat and drop anchor and swim to shore, or head over via bus and you can have a day of it.
