New York City Pride month was kicked off today right in the heart of Central Park at the world famous Summerstage.
The iconic Pride celebration will continue through to the end of the month - with events, parties and of course the massive parade, pridefest and circuit parties, Rapture on the River and Pier Dance. (Check our what's on listings for the best events, dates and any ticketing details)
Today's Rally in Central Park was co-hosted by two of the USA's most in demand comedians, Christine O'Leary and Ross Matthews.
Other appearances included The Imperial Court Of New York, Lavender Light Gospel Choir (who were sensational), hit rock/pop band, Paper Doll, Lady Zen, Comedian Adam Sank and Tony Lamond and the Cast of Priscilla Queen Of The Desert - The Musical.
Guidetogay.com's crew were there capturing all the action first hand - so check out our extensive photo gallery and video highlights from today's event.
New York's legislature this month is voting on marriage equality - and with only one more vote in the senate to secure, it looks like equal marriage rights will be another huge reason to celebrate Pride this month.
