Singer and performer David Campbell and comedian Amanda Bishop (aka the other Julia Gillard) are the two latest entertainers to join the all-star line-up for Sydney's annual World AIDS Day Concert, they will join some of Australia's leading musical theatre and cabaret performers for the perennially popular concert which this year showcases the music of screen and stage icon Judy Garland.
The concert, which kicks off NSW's World AIDS Day activities, features an all-star line-up of Australian musical theatre and cabaret performers including Paul Capsis, Simon Burke, Bob Downe, Tim Draxl and Trevor Ashley. Pop superstar, Ricki-Lee Coulter has also joined the line up, as well as being a special RED RIBBON AMBASSADOR for the entire campaign this year.
Playing for one night only on Monday 21 November in the stunning Verbruggen Hall at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, the bill will also includes Emma Pask, Lucy Maunder, David Raleigh, Michael Griffiths, Sheridan Harbridge, Margi de Ferranti, Tom Sharah, Shauna Jensen, Marney McQueen and Marika Aubrey.
All performers will be backed by a 40-piece orchestra.
For the fourth year running, concert creator Trevor Ashley will direct the performers and Craig Renshaw will direct the music for the gala performance.
