I was pleasantly surprised to see a new presenter on Ready Steady Cook. I had tuned out quite some time ago because Mr touchy feely just gave me the creeps. It was quite obvious by their body language and facial expressions, that he made quite a few of the guests and Chefs clearly uncomfortable, but they sucked it up for the camera. Thank you Ch10 for finally doing something about it. I will be tuning back in and wish Colin Lane all the best. Not sure if he is the right person for the job yet, but at least I will be watching and enjoying the program again. To all the people who have made negative comments about Colin Lane I say: It takes a bit of time to settle in, so give him a go. Congratulations Ch10 for a very much improved Ready Steady Cook.

I remember fondly watching Ready, Steady Cook over the years with Peter . His daggy jokes and tongue-in-cheek humor would always shine through. I'm a male in my twenties, so obviously I didn't get to watch it everyday but when I did it was Peter and his personal style that kept me watching. Sometimes he would surprise me with the things he would say or ask but ultimately it made for great TV.

I liked him so much that I distinctly remember thinking on multiple occasions, "it'll be a sad day when Peter leaves". I was right. If people are uncomfortable with his touchy, hugging nature they don't have to go on the show. Channel 10 apparently has some very anti-gay people running it lately. A certain bigoted woman has put an equally bigoted man on Sunday mornings to spread some bigotry. I hope Channel 10 see the error in there current direction, they think they have the young adult market but might soon discover that they have more in common with *Channel 9* than they think!

Who's idea was it for Colin Lane to host what was once a good show. This guy's a "goose"...... thinks he's so smart (he's the only one)... and I wish he'd keep his hands behind his back aqnd stop pointing at everythiong...... from an ex viewer

i to am sad to see pete go. he was fabulous as the host and his reparte with janelle bloom was fantastic. i like colin but everyone is right he is not right for this show. i enjoy watching him on the circle though. PLEASE TEN BRING BACK PETE.

My husband and I love watching the show over lunch. We were shocked to see a new guy hosting. Pete. Your brightened up our day!!!
You are sadly missed and the show is just not the same.
I finally googled "where is pete everett" and got onto this site.
Best of luck for the future. It is now 2.02pm and can I be bothered switchign RSC on? Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm mmmm

I very rarely comment on these forums, but had to add to the predominant thought expressed here. Peter had certainly not reached his use-by date, and Colin is just a bad fit for the show. In fact Frank Woodley would have been better. Ten has lost another viewer.

This was an amusing and informative light entertainment program. I'll bet some new broom mini-executive trying to make a mark has instigated replacing Peter Everett with the banal Colin. When will Television learn to stop making changes for changes sake??? When will you learn that if it isn't broke...........
